Strong women with an edge. Suzette’s work is all about women. “If we think about beauty, we think immediately about appearance, but actually it is about how pure, raw, genuine you dare to be” Suzette has been painting “Strong Women” for some time now - strong women drawn in colourful paint, oozing raw energy. Her style is called Popart, or as she calls it “Glamour with an Edge.” Despite her love for beauty there has always been a certain edge to her work. Something unpredictable yet very expressive and raw, that’s why she is always looking for contrasts .

Suzette have lived 8 years in London, a city full of contrasts. She discovered a complete new world where beauty with all its flaws and rawness is constantly being exposed. In that city she learned that the sky is the limtit and everything is possible. It doesn’t matter what color you have, but who you are and what you stand for.

She uses a combination of acrylics, aerosols, glitter, pastels. Suzette’s work is about contrasts. She combines thick rough lines against thin delicate lines. Bright colours with black and white. “These are fragments of who I am as well” I like it when i can express myself in colours and bold strokes.” I have an attention for detail, especially eyes and lips. Other areas of the painting look unfinished. This is how I create contrast.”
